Significance of Miyazaki
There are several reasons we chose Tano-cho, Miyazaki City in Miyazaki to establish our facility. Many baseball and soccer teams hold their winter camps in Miyazaki. This is because Miyazaki’s climate is mild and boasts the longest hours of sunlight in Japan. Miyazaki’s rural land makes it ideal for players to practice freely in a relaxed atmosphere.
One more factor is the four distinctive seasons of Miyazaki. The four seasons are important in maintaining health. Hawaii is warm throughout the year and very pleasant for a short term stay, but such a climate in not particularly good for health. It is important for man to feel the four distinctive seasons—spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Unlike other prefectures in Kyushu, it almost never snows in Miyazaki, and we find frost only several days out of the year. Winter is so warm that we find lots of flowers blooming even in February, yet, it is cold enough to feel that winter is here.
In this mild climate, tropical plants grow throughout the prefecture. The exotic atmosphere of the tropical land hangs in air. There is no other place like it in Japan.
Miyazaki is also known as the home of Japanese myths. Its beautiful scenery and mild climate make Miyazaki the perfect place to relax through the remaining days of life.
The facility stands on land created by shaving off the top of a mountain. The facility is surrounded by wonderful nature, with lots of sunshine from the southeast and moderately high mountains to the northeast. An 8-meter wide road runs eastward in front of the entrance to the facility. Conveniently located only about 20 minutes by car from Miyazaki Airport, Asclepeion is a wonderful facility in the midst of beautiful nature.
